About Me

I started reading romances as a teenager, but drifted away from the genre in my college years where I was buried in "the classics" and depressing history textbooks. After graduation, I went to work at a local Barnes and Noble where a fellow bookseller forced me to read Nora Roberts (paybacks for introducing her to the crack that is Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum series). One book, and I was hooked on the genre.

I love nearly all genres of romance and most genres of mysteries, too. I'm format neutral. I'll read print, e, or even listen to the audio versions as long as the story is compelling and the characters are interesting.

My favorite authors tend to change depending on my mood, but a few that have stood the test of time with me are Elizabeth Peters (the Amelia Peabody and Vicky Bliss series), Janet Evanovich, Victoria Alexander, Jacquie D'Alessandro, Stephanie Laurens, Suzanne Enoch and Karen Hawkins.

Other authors I love are: Jill Shalvis, Jeaniene Frost, JR Ward, Sally MacKenzie, Victoria Dahl, Kathy Reichs, and Lynsay Sands.

When I'm not sitting somewhere reading a book, I like to bake, scrapbook, or wander around with my camera pretending to know how to work it. I live in the Sierra Nevada mountains surrounded by National Forest. Pretty, but there's no Starbucks, no mall, and it snows here. A lot.

Other places to find me: I am an occasional freelance contributor to Heroesandheartbreakers.com  (for which I may receive compensation). I also contribute monthly (unpaid)  to my local paper's [Feather River Bulletin] book recommendation feature.
